I had some leftover mascarpone from my Bakes Box bake last week, so thought I would try out some cinnamon buns!
I made cinnamon buns at my breadmaking workshop with Elizabeth earlier on in the year, I just love how you can adapt the cinnamon filling to include chocolate, sour cherries, marzipan or nuts!
I used this recipe from BBC Good Food for the basic dough and added some dark chocolate and mixed fruit to the butter cinnamon filling.
To make a runny icing, I used some of the mascarpone, a drop or two of water, some icing sugar and clementine zest .
These were really tasty and I can’t wait to make them again!
