At the weekend I hopped on a train to Edinburgh, for the purpose of attending the Foodies Festival in Inverleith Park!
I was given some free tickets (courtesy of Lanyard Media) and had a great day. Of course the sunshine helped! I bookmarked the schedule of demos so I had an easy reference point!
Some tasty icecream from Whipsmiths was eaten (from a long list of choices I settled for peanut butter and nutella), there was lots of perusing of many food and drink stalls, a spot of deckchair relaxing in the sunshineto the sounds of the Cocktail garden stage, a chance to meeting fellow foodies, and of course a foodie demo or two!
Here’s what I came home with (I only had a rucksack for my overnight stay so was limited in what I could carry!):
Nudie Coconut Chips – think these will be added to my granola mix for a tropical taste!
Macarons from Masterchef contestant Adam Handling (via a tip from Lea Harris – at only £1 each, these were twice the size of other macarons on sale, and absolutely delicious! (they all did make it home in one piece in my rucksack btw for us to share!)
Some wholesome doggy treats for Bartie from Harry’s Treats!
I enjoyed my trip down to the festival- thanks to Lanyard Media for my complimentary tickets!
