Last week I received my first Cheese Postie! I saw a Kickstarter campaign doing the rounds in the summer -around the same time as Bakes Box. After pledging, and a few email updates detailing progress towards the launch, I was finally able to set up my account at the beginning of September. I pledged £10 which gets me two cheese posties and one for a friend (I chose Mr B, he was very grateful!)
Cheese Posties is a subscription box service (of which there are multiple options, you can go week to week, or prepay for longer term) in which you receive all the ingredients to make a super tasty cheese toastie. It’s £3.99 a pop which might be a bit too much for some, but it’s a fun concept to try or give a gift subscription to a cheese-fiend friend, especially in the autumn when cheese on toast is the ultimate comfort food.
I’ve chosen my cheese posties to be sweet ones (partly because I have a hatred of blue cheese and didn’t want to risk one of the posties containing them) and there are options to have gluten free and vegetarian toastie options. This week I got a blueberry smoothie type toastie which was really tasty!Philedphia and some smooth sharp blueberry jam is all included so all you have to do is make your toastie, spread the butter portion on the outside of your toastie and toast in the designated toastie bag that is included!
