If you were to ask me which was my most commonly used kitchen item, without a doubt it would have to be my kitchen scales. So when I was asked to review a set of digital weighing scales, I jumped at the chance!
The product on offer was the Smart Weigh KBS100 Bamboo Digital Kitchen Scale with Tare Feature (I know, quite a mouthful!) and I was sent the item in exhange for posting an honest and unbiased review on the blog and on the Amazon product page.
In comparison to my current set of scales, the weighing capacity of this product was far larger, (5kg). Batteries were even included which meant there was no traipsing round the house trying to find the correct batteries, which is often the case with electrical items!
The scales are lightweight and not bulky at all, and look really attractive with the bamboo design. The big bold LCD screen is larger than other digital scales I’ve seen, which would maybe suit partially slighted or elderly users.
The Unit button switches between the four weighing modes (g/lb oz/ ml/ fl oz) seamlessly, and the other button is the Off/Tare button which enables the user to reset the scales. My only complaint with this item is that the power button sensor is temperemental, which means I have to press it a few times to turn it off. However, the scales do power off automatically after 2 minutes, so it’s not the end of the world!
In summary, these are a dependable set of scales. Due to their compact nature, it would be easy to find space in your kitchen to keep these!
I was sent this item to review in exchange for a blog post. All opinions are my own.
