Last Thursday I turned 29!
I had a lovely day (which started with a job interview, which fortunately led to a job offer later on in the day – whoo hoo!) complete with lots of cake, presents and also a lovely birthday weekend. I have already shared some of the photos I took whilst out and about, but I also wanted to share this very thoughtful gift brought up by one of my best friends (and bridesmaid of honour) Isabel, and her husband Tim. When we arrived to pick them up from Inverness airport Isabel was very quick to tell me that part of my present had been confiscated at Gatwick as it was a liquid, which became clear later on in the day when I got round to opening my presents!
Aside: You may know that I used to live in Richmond, south west London. I hadn’t started this blog until I left London 2 years ago, when I, a newlywed, upped sticks and moved to Fife with Mr B! I haven’t actually written much about my days in London town, I was there firstly as a student, and then 5 years working in various places. I felt like Richmond was very much home for me (and still do, though less so these days as I feel so at home in Inverness already) so it was a wrench leaving the place after 8 years. Richmond is one of the more affluent and green parts of London – in a lot of ways it doesn’t feel part of London at all, but has great links into the centre of London.
Anyway, one of the things that Richmond didn’t have when I was living there was a Wholefoods Market. If there had been one I would have been a whole lot more impulsive with my weekly food shop – probably best for my bank balance that there wasn’t one there!
With that in mind, I can show you what my birthday gifts were!
I’ll be sure to give you a run through of the recipe when I try it out soon!
