A Highland Blend (AKA me,  Susan!) is based in Caithness, the very north of the Scottish Highlands. I’m a keen baker, photographer and local adventurer – often taking Mr B and my trusty labrador out and about with me on our explorations. I try my best to champion the local area, whether that’s the produce, the people, or places to visit. I’ve been writing about life in Scotland for over 9 years, and now I am using my writing, photography and social media experience to offer creative services to local businesses in the north of Scotland.

I want to see local businesses well equipped to promote themselves online on their websites and on social media. After seeing a gap in the local market, I now offer creative and social media services in the North Highlands of Scotland, so that businesses can either learn marketing skills for themselves, or outsource their marketing activities, which gives you more time to spend time on the parts of your business that you want to focus on.

For more information, please check out my available services page and check out my posts relevant to local businesses.

I also write blog posts On A Highland Blend for visitors to the area. You’ll also be able to discover more about Caithness, the North Coast 500 and other areas of Scotland I’ve visited. If you are looking for ideas of places to visit and things to do, I include mentions of both popular attractions and lesser-known ‘off-the-beaten-track’ places for many areas of Scotland so that your trip will be well-planned and provide memories for life.
