As my January Joy recap hinted, I still had a project to complete, which I didn’t really get time to sit down and do until this week!
I go through bursts of printing my photos, but normally they just sit on a memory card or cloud somewhere for ages until they get forgotten about. So this post fulfills the ‘capture the memories’ and ‘make something with your hands’ equally well!
In the TK Maxx sales last month I found a little photo display set which you can hang as a garland (£2.99). I liked the Polaroid look so once my photos arrived (ordered from Snapfish who I find to be very reliable), I arranged them (which included cropping most of them), matched them with a background and got sticking away with some PVA.
I printed off a couple of foodie pictures, as well as one’s with reference to ale (for Mr B) and gin (for me) as well as a few coupley pics. I think this would be an easy craft to do without the kits – all you would need is a template Poloroid shot, some mix and match background papers and your own treasured photos. Our garland is now hung up in the kitchen and makes it a more homely room.
