For Mr B’s birthday, i had booked a night away out west in Kinlochewe. Places that we can take our dog Bartie are few and far between unless you do self catering- but we found the Kinlochewe Hotel which was very good (a good base for walkers exploring Beinn Eighe and other sites in the area).
The weather was a bit mixed on the Saturday- not clear enough for good views for a walk, but not pouring with rain either. In the end we did the Wester Ross Coastal drive, taking in Torridon, Applecross, Kishorn (via the Bealach na Bà – the third highest road in Scotland) ending up at Lochcarron and then driving back to Inverness. A stunning drive and I’d really recommend it.
Here are a select few of the photos I took – I think it might be time to trade in my camera for a new one as I’m noticing the quality of the pictures are not so good – any suggestions? I’d like a DSLR, light weight (or as lightweight as possible) either Canon or Nikon. I’m not so bothered about having the latest model though.
