Earlier this week I spotted the Clandestine Cake Club book in TKMaxx for just a fiver, so obviously snapped it up!
Within a couple of hours I had read it cover to cover and identified a recipe that I had the ingredients for already at home.. obviously a sign that I should go ahead and bake!
The addition of cardamon, natural yoghurt and lemon juice really make it a light and airy bake – it’s very tasty,and best eaten warm after it’s cooled slightly.
I’ve already spotted another recipe from the book that I’ll be trying very soon, involving some rhubarb (of which we have loads growing in our garden!)
I can say first hand that this recipe is delicious! Thanks so much for my slices, they went down very well with my family 🙂
