Later this month, we embark on our long-awaited trip to the USA!
We are visiting a few places and we start off for a few days in Chicago. Of course no planning for a holiday is complete without a pinterest board (or one for each location we’re visiting!) …
So what are places and sights that we are looking forward to seeing?
A must stop is Millennium Park… a 24.5 acre park right in the middle of the Loop (centre of Chicago). It’s free to walk around and there’s so many things to look at

… including ‘The Bean’ (more officially known as Cloud Gate), this sculpture by Anish Kapoor which gives spectucular views in its reflections at any time of the day or night!
We’ve also been recommended a boat tour with the Chicago Architecture Foundation and apparently another must-do experience is to visit Navy Pier. Though whether we will take a trip on the enormous Ferris wheel remains to be seen…

We will be staying in the Wicker Park area with my friend Katie from university, so we hope to explore a side of Chicago away from all the usual tourist attractions.
Have you been to/live in Chicago? What are your favourite sights to see, on or off the beaten track?
