In the Garden

February 11, 2012 by Susan Leave a Comment

This morning I was awake before Mr B (not unusual if you know Mr B’s sleeping preferences) and I was faffing around in the kitchen when I saw these really weird looking birds pecking at the ground behind our house (later on my investigation on the  RSPB Bird Identifier website  revealed that I had seen a batch of curlews –  yes it really does exist, and YES I am that sad to go on that website :-))

I did try and get my camera out to capture them but by the time I’d got out there, the birds had moved on. However I thought I’d take the chance to use the macro setting on my camera to get some shots of our garden. We rent our house and the owners are keen gardeners (we’ll have to work hard to grow some good plants this year!) so there’s lots of plant pots around.

However, the thing that I’m most excited about is the growing of our herbs that I mentioned earlier on in the week. Still actually need to plant them but I like the plant pots so much and especially the blackboard element of them!
